Frequently Asked Questions

The free kit, the theory, privacy, and what a result actually means.

Is the DNA kit really free?

Yes. We mail an at-home cheek-swab kit at no cost as an exploratory first step. If that ever changes we’ll say so on this site.

Can a DNA test prove I’m descended from a lost tribe?

No. No test can. The tribes left no reference genome. A result can show broad ancestry and Middle-Eastern-linked markers — a research lead to weigh alongside family history, never proof.

Does a result make me eligible for Israeli citizenship or the Law of Return?

No. Only the relevant rabbinic, communal and government authorities decide that, through documentation — not a DNA kit. We state this plainly everywhere.

What is British-Israelism?

The centuries-old claim that Western peoples — especially the British and their kin — descend from the ten tribes exiled by Assyria in 722 BCE. It is disputed by mainstream scholars; we present it as a heritage theory to explore honestly. Read our full explainer.

What do you do with my data?

We collect only what we need to ship your kit, and delete it afterwards. We never receive your genetic data — the lab does. See our Privacy Policy and DNA Consent.

Who runs this?

See our About page. We’re explicit about what we do and don’t claim.
